HQ2 — Pineville Buildout
Square Bidness HQ2 in Pineville — electrical upgrades, floor corrections, and recessed lighting work
that also trains for future data center buildouts.

0. Today — HQ2 Closeout List (Live)
These are today’s HQ2 tasks you’re knocking out before heading to Brady’s Start2Finish site.
- Cover the old light location where the foyer tap used to be (blank plate or clean patch).
- Change the living room switch to the better push-style switch (dimmer later).
- Secure the A/C outlet — tighten box, confirm no movement.
- Swap heater receptacle to 25A outlet with USB + USB-C in the living room zone.
- Tear down painter’s tape around the foyer / light area.
- Finish painting the file cabinet (Dover White over Clark & Kensington base).
Once this card is fully checked off, HQ2 moves from “in work” to “clean and lender-ready” on the Pineville side.
1. Snapshot
- Location: Pineville, Louisiana (HQ2 building).
- Walls fully painted · All floors replaced from original carpet days.
- Current focus: finish outlets + switches, correct LVP seams, and refine recessed lighting.
- Field work here doubles as practice for future EMT + data center runs at the HQ1 slab.
2. Electrical — HQ2 Scope
High-level view of what’s been handled and what remains.
Already in motion
- Majority of wall plugs replaced with new devices (including 25W USB-C combo where needed).
- Switches systematically upgraded room-by-room (including foyer dimmer on recessed once installed).
- Ceiling fan & light fixture work underway in key rooms.
Remaining punch list (HQ2)
- Finish any last switches and receptacles once material is fully stocked.
- Confirm final count of upgraded devices per room for the HQ2 box map.
- Log GFCI locations (kitchen, baths, exterior) for future panel labels.
Detailed device-by-device tracking lives in:
/lab/start2finish-progress/ · /lab/start2finish-boxmap/ · /lab/start2finish-walkthrough/
3. LVP Floor Corrections — HQ2
Early LVP installs created splits between kitchen, washroom, and half bath.
This phase locks it into one continuous, lender-ready floor.
Problem zones
- Transition line at kitchen / washroom doorway (visible split in run).
- Half bath and washroom sitting on separate LVP “islands.”
- Two small areas needing subfloor patch (≈1–2 ft each).
Fix plan (Pineville HQ2)
- Remove existing LVP in:
- Kitchen run leading toward stove and washroom doorway.
- Washroom + half bath on that side of the house.
- Patch soft subfloor spots (1–2 ft sections) before re-laying planks.
- Reinstall LVP as one continuous floor from kitchen through washroom and half bath.
- Check closet and door thresholds so the whole side reads as “one system” to appraisers and lenders.
Photos you snapped of seams and door dividers will plug straight into the HQ2 section of the lender packet.
4. Recessed Lighting — HQ2
HQ2 is your test lab for recessed cans — proving clean overhead work before bigger labs and data center rows.
Foyer Recessed Row (6 cans)
- Area: Hall / foyer in front of bathroom.
- Ceiling size: 11’9" (width) × 4’9" (length).
- Plan: (6) canless lights in two rows of three, centered in the space.
- Boxes pre-wired off the layout, then dropped in from the attic to work smarter, not harder.
- Beams checked in attic — final layout shifted a few inches to fully clear structure.
- Foyer controlled from dedicated switch (with dimmer upgrade planned).
Future HQ2 recessed zones
- Main bathroom: planned recessed layout once tub is pulled and lines are snapped.
- Second bedroom / future walk-in closet room: recessed plan later, once room is cleared and LVP is installed.
- All layouts follow the same discipline: symmetry, spacing, and keeping cans off critical walls.
For detailed room-by-room recessed notes, you can spin up a dedicated HQ2 recessed map at
/lab/hq2-recessed/ when you’re ready.

upgrades (outlets, switches, and recessed lighting).
This work is performed by the owner on-site, with support from Start2Finish Contracting on
related projects, and positions HQ2 as both an operational headquarters and a training lab
