Conduit Run Plan — Per Room/Wall
Standardize rough-in so every box looks the same. Adjust for studs/obstacles.
Standard Heights & Spacing
- Receptacle center: 16″ AFF (to center of device).
- EMT main horizontal: ~50″ AFF (clear of chair rails; comfortable work height).
- Drop from main to each box with ¾″ EMT; use set-screw connectors to box.
- Straps: every ~8 ft and within 3 ft of each box/conduit end.
Living Room (6 devices)
- Front wall: LR-F1 → LR-F2
- Back wall: LR-B1 → LR-B2
- Shared wall to Master: LR-M
- Island/center: if present, use floor or stub up behind cabinetry (else omit).
Feed from panel high line at 50″, drop to each in sequence (see Pull Map circuits 1 & 2).
Master Bedroom (5 devices)
- Back wall → Toilet wall → Bathtub wall → Front-side wall → (shared LR wall if needed)
Bedroom 2 (4 devices)
- Front wall left → Front wall right → A/C/far wall → Bathroom wall
Kitchen (5 devices)
- Countertop Left (GFCI) → Countertop Right (LOAD)
- Refrigerator outlet (on SA #1 unless spec differs)
- Island (GFCI) → Washroom area (LOAD) on SA #2
Island box: confirm type (floor box vs. cabinet side). Height may vary.
Bathrooms (2 devices)
- Master Bath (GFCI) · Hall Bath (GFCI)
Either one 20A bath circuit feeding both, or two dedicated 20A bath circuits.
Notes
- Bond each 4″ square box with green ground screw + pigtail to device.
- Sharpie label inside cover plate pocket with
Circuit #before trim out. - Keep EMT plumb/level; use factory 90s where bends are tight; hand bend long sweeps.
