1. Zone Specs

Fill this out for each recessed zone you do at HQ2 (foyer, bath, bedroom, etc.).

Foyer reference from your first run: 6 cans, centered on ceiling ≈ 11’9" × 4’8", beams ~23" apart, adjusted +5" to clear beam.

2. Prep Checklist (Before Any Cuts)

• Ceiling surface prepped and painted first coat (no dirty/patchy ceiling under new cans).
• Second coat rolled and dry before fixtures go in.
• Measurements locked: center line pulled, can spacing marked, beam spacing confirmed from attic.
• Pre-wired harness built on the ground (add extra slack) — you’re dropping boxes in from the attic, not wiring on the ladder.
• Switch plan confirmed (standard → push → dimmer). Box checked and space left for dimmer upgrade.
• Licensed electrician consult completed where needed (beam cuts, code questions, panel tie-in).

3. Harness & Feed Plan

Quick notes on how the zone is fed so you can reference it later when you’re doing EMT, data runs, or a panel label.

4. Safety & Sign-off

• Breaker confirmed off and verified with a tester before any wiring or cutting.
• Attic path cleared — no nails, sagging spots, or loose boards in your working lane.
• All cans tested on and off at the switch, dimmer behaves as expected, no flicker or heat issues.

Once all boxes are checked and the zone looks clean, you can officially stamp it as “HQ2 Recessed — Done” in your lender and training notes.
